Privacy information

How account information, public listings, messages, uploaded photos, and website analytics are used.

Accounts and public information

Clerk provides account authentication. Information you enter in your public profile, including display name, biography, location, and profile photo, can be visible to other visitors. Listing details and uploaded equipment photos are public. Do not include information you do not want to publish.

Messages and inquiries

Marketplace messages are stored for the participating accounts. Inquiry forms collect the name, email address, and message you submit so the listing owner or marketplace operator can review your request. A seller inquiry may also be emailed to the listing owner. External-listing requests may be relayed to the source seller.

Location and uploaded files

Browser location is requested only when you choose the location control and grant permission. Public profiles and listings should show a city or region rather than a precise home address. Uploaded files are stored through the hosting storage provider; photos shown on public pages are publicly accessible.

Payments

Stripe processes advertising and premium-placement payments. Card details are entered through Stripe Checkout, not a marketplace equipment-purchase form. Transaction references and placement status are retained to manage purchased placements.

Website analytics and browser storage

The site uses Google Analytics and its own traffic measurement. Marketplace traffic records use hashed visitor and session identifiers, page paths, referral hosts, and whether a session is signed in. Browser storage also supports authentication and session continuity. You can control cookies and storage in your browser; blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in.

Your information

You can edit your public profile and manage your listings while signed in. Avoid sharing financial or sensitive personal information in messages or photos. Records needed for conversations, payments, operational security, or legal obligations may remain after public content is removed.
